Last week I had the opportunity to spend the week in Nova Scotia, Canada, at the homes of my dear friend Greg Monette and his wife Julie and my mentor/doctoral supervisor Craig A. Evans and his wife Ginny. I had a great time. Nova Scotia is beautiful. Greg showed me around the Halifax area which is very scenic. It was very cold with temperatures near freezing, which made returning to San Antonio, TX, this weekend a tad difficult (it was about 97 F yesterday, already!), though I was very happy to get back to my wife! Alongside receiving supervision and guidance for my dissertation from one of the brightest minds I know I had a great time listening to some great stories from Craig. It was a really great time!
FYI: I received a copy of Greg's new book The Wrong Jesus, which I'll say something about on my biblioblog tomorrow.
